Deco lady

This is for a friend's birthday next month. She loves the deco style so hopefully this will fit the bill.

I took two A4 cards, folded them in half then folded back one side. One is stuck inside the other to give the double fold-back style. The pinkish paper was overstamped using a 'Chatsworth' stamp then stuck on alternatively with the plain version of the same paper. Deco corners were stamped and embossed then 3D mounted on all the main corners, the little rose is part of the stamp set and finishes the corners perfectly. I stamped the ladies from sets from Creative Expressions and coloured in with promarkers. All the 'jewel' sections were glittered using a quickie glue pen and Art Institute crystal glitter. The ladies were mounted onto gold mirri card which had been embossed using a Creative Expressions 'clock' embossing folder, which in turn was mounted onto the original plain pinkish paper (cut using a grand nestie). The words were stamped and embossed then mounted onto embossed gold mirri card. I made the 'rose' inside the card  using some kids craft paper I have had for several years. Cutting the shapes from nesties, spraying with Cosmic Shimmer sprays. Once soaking they were attached together with a brad then scrunched tightly up. After this they need to be relaxed a little then left to dry. This was attached with gel glue. I had to make a box as the rose made it impossible to close the card fully. A plain base and pink top with the little roses in a cluster complete it.

It's a jungle

The base  card was cut using the grand nesties with the mats decreasing in size. All the animals (from stamp sets by Sam Poole) were stamped and cut out, then coloured using promarkers. Some of the animals are decoupaged, others are single layer but put on with glue gel.  The base card and the front panel were distressed with inks. The gaps are for the sentiment once it's decided who the recipient will be and for the sender's message!   

I think the hardest part was matching up the base and inner! The best bit was arranging the animals and othe bits and bobs LOL.

Another lovely lady

Made using nesties (again) for the base card. I cut the patterned paper from the nesties too to ensure a good fit. The edges were 'stitched' for emphasis, although the orange stitches only show close up. The little flowers are from a punch. The lady was stamped and coloured using promarkers. The greeting was simply stamped in white and the base flowers allow the card to stand up.
Once I decide who is having it I will add a couple of sentiments to the front to finish it off.

Lovely ladies

Started making these cards with the flowers. I tried different types of paper, tissue and card. I found that I liked the results from the handmade paper and some kids craft paper I have had for several years. I cut out the shapes with various sized nesties (blossom worked best for me). I then sprayed them with mica (made up with CS mica powder and water), once they were very wet I scrunched them up then attached them all together with a brad. Once this was done I fluffed out the petals a little and left them to dry. I really liked making these so no doubt more will appear.  I think next time I will try some smaller dies/flowers too.

Anyway, the stamp plates were from Creative Expressions ladies plates. The ladies were stamped then coloured with promarkers. Some were individually cut out but others were cut using a nestie. Once I had coloured them, this determined what colours I used on the cards. I took the opportunity to use my new Grand Calibur and the extra large dies. I love them, although I now need larger sizes of cardstock to be able to use the largest for cardbases!

Once the matting and layering had been done I mounted the ladies and matching flowers. They all, of course, needed boxes because of the depth, so these were made to match the colour of each card. No doubt there will be more to follow. My favourite is the red card. On the orange/yellow one I stamped 'diva' in the blank corner as it looked a little stark. Oh, and I did attach a lead to the dog!

Christening

I was asked to make a Christening card for a Spanish baby. They wanted a quite religious one with a cross.

I decided to make a twisted easel card - easier than they look. I used pale blue cardstock and striped patterned papers. The cross was made from my own template and covered with glitter and mounted onto gold card. The little card with the baby's name is from the glitter girls tall stories board. I printed the details from the PC and embossed it immediately out of the printer for a raised effect. The greeting was inside the card. The flowers were from some I bought in a pound shop and dismantled - remaking up as required. The stopper is also a flower.

18th birthday

This card was for my friend's grandson's 18th. She provided me with a photo of him aged around 8 months which I scanned into 3D2 cardbuilder. This enabled me to both decoupage images (one on the card and one on the box). I used baby blue cardstock and the inside is a pop-up with 18 hanging inside.

Train/Windmill/Farm

These create a scene stamp sets are lovely. They are easy to use and give you lots of scope for colouring in. I used promarkers again for these but previously have used Cosmic shimmer water colours. The images were stamped then cut out using nestie shapes. They were mounted up on a variety of patterned papers. The extra bits were stamped, coloured and cut out then mounted onto the cards using gel glue. I have a little aeroplane stamp with a streamer with a sentiment, it works well with these images.

 

Double easel

I decided to have a go at a double easel. I used an A4 folded to give me an A5 card. The front was cut into two sections. The stamps were free with a magazine, coloured again with promarkers and mounted up. The stoppers were staggered to give an obvious double effect. I added a strip of edging to the bottom of the stoppers and a flower just to finish it off.

Double shutter

I cut out the basic shutter card shape twice and fixed them together where they would naturally overlap. Patterned papers were fixed to the panels with the victorian nudes put into position. A couple of die cut flowers filled in a couple of gaps.

Rompers

These were made for friends birthdays. They are cut from a Glitter Girls board dress to impress. The basic shape was covered with patterned papers and the small items cut from other stamped images. I gave the 'chin' some speckles to look like a designer beard.

Vogue

This famous vogue shot was my choice for my daughter's birthday a year or so ago. She was quite into sewing!
The image was stamped twice. The second image onto patterned paper. I cut out the main image and pieced it over the first stamped image. I trimmed it with some matching lace.

Horse in stable

I  made this card last year for a friend. The child was horse mad so that made the theme easy at least. I found a picture of some stables which looked as if they would be adaptable. This was resized to fit my project. I stamped the horses head and added it to the stable door with glue gel with just the edge inside the 'door'. The hat, boots and stirrups were cut out and fitted inside the pop up to give the appearance of the inside of the stable.

Valentine

I made this one for my hubby. It's 6x6 base with Grand Nesties mats and the Fleur de Lis pendant to back the rose. The rose was coloured using Promarkers then mounted with glue gell. Inside another rose was stamped but coloured in with distress inks for a gentler look.

Flower

Whilst making the valentine card I stamped another rose to colour in later. This time I chose to colour in shades of yellow (promarkers again). The card shape was cut using the grand nesties circles, as were the mats. I stamped the card all over with the rose stamp using brilliance inks for the shine, then matted it all up.

Fairy

This card was made from a free stamp on a magazine (can't remember which one).

I stamped the image and coloured with promarkers (my new favourite medium), then mounted it up with Japanese papers (really from Japan) a bow and sentiment complete it.

The Pub

These were created using the Create a Scene - pub stamp set. The images were cut using the nestie shapes and coloured with promarkers. The edges were coloured with distress inks for the sky and ground. I then sprayed with water to get a softer skyline. These were mounted onto patterned papers. The barrels and flowers were stamped separately and coloured. The flowers were also highlighted with flowersoft for added effect.

On the striped card I made the traditional australian card! Whoops. I decided to make a back to front easel card. I folded the cardbase in half and put a stopper onto the back of the card to hold it up.

Hopefully it looks like it was supposed to be like this LOL! The small picture shows how it looked at the back.

Horses

These are digi stamps - I collect so many I can't remember where it came from - sorry.

They were stamped and coloured using promarkers then mounted up on nesties.
