Bath time

This card is for my daughter's birthday later this month. She loves a soak in the bubbles so this is ideal for her.  I started with two 6" square card which I joined together to make the base. I overstamped some (genuine) Japanese papers with the words from the set (like, bubbles, splish splash, enjoy etc) then distressed the edges. These were added to the inside, the edges and folded into the backs of the front edges!!

The lady in the bath (back view) was stamped onto a piece of mountboard and coloured with promarkers. For added dimension I used liquid applique which, once dry, fluffs up to create the foam. All the little bottles and glasses were stamped, coloured and cut out then mounted around the card. The inside is similar but it's on normal cardstock. Various bits were restamped and decoupaged using glue gel. The red sections were made using a nestability pendant cut up to form the edges. On the inside the lady is cut out and mounted directly onto the same nestie (without it being cut).

On the backs of the front sections I simply folded some of the Japanese papers to make a 'pop up' which adds a little more dimension.  I thought the little ducks finished it off with a quirkiness.  A simple box was made to house the card and for posting it to the UK.
